The Wedding: #TwoHeartsOneHenry

Here are the details of the Wedding.

I wanted a simple yet classic wedding, nothing too fancy, so I searched for Inspiration on Pinterest. Additionally, I wanted to incorporate decorative wooden pieces into the wedding since my husband was a Carpenter.

By the way, I’m saying “I” because my husband didn’t care for anything but marrying me; however, he did come up with the Hashtag #TwoHeartsOneHenry.

Rings

Our rings were purchased from MiAmor. Before we met, God had already sent me ring window shopping, and I saw a style I liked. When we met a few months later, he asked me if I had an ideal ring style, so I sent it to him. When it was time for him to purchase the ring a year later, he searched, and God led him to the one purchased.

He got his ring from the same place but never wanted a circle ring. No, my husband wanted a nugget ring with our initials at the top, so they designed it for us. His ring is Gold, while mine is white gold, but he would still like to get me a wedding band in time, and that would be Gold.

Location

There is a lot to consider when finding a location, like the number of people, the ambience and the commute, for example, will the wedding and reception be at the same or different location.

When I thought about getting married, I pictured it being outside and not in a church because I enjoyed nature. I wanted a beach wedding, but the beach I envisioned did not look how I wanted it to; my fiance tried to coerce me into thinking that the space could work, but I couldn’t see it.

Our goal was 50 persons, and I was told breakfast weddings were the most affordable, so I was aiming for that. However, the Local Registrar was unavailable for a 7 am wedding, so we pushed it to 9 am and had a lunch wedding instead.

After a discussion with my parents, they spoke with the Owner of D’ Coal Pot Restaurant about having the wedding at the location. They agreed so the Location was finalised.

The Ceremony was held on the balcony, and the reception was on the inside.

Next was…

Decor

As stated earlier I had already imagined a natural theme, nothing fancy. I became overwhelmed with the planning, so I enlisted Your Dream Event, Mrs. Amirah Gordon, assisted by Mrs. Mary Nibbs and the Staff at D’ Coal Pot.

The decor was purchased from Amazon; this includes the Flowers, Thank you cards, the Bride’s Bouquet and the wall backdrop.

The woodwork was done by All Pro Furnitures, my Husband, the Carpenter. This includes the Arch, Welcome Sign, Table Signs, Table Lanterns, and the Wooden backdrop.

Summit Printing did the lettering.

The arch was special to me as there was a significant triangle when I started my walk with Christ.

If a man and woman seek God separately, they will meet God at the top. So, the arch was important to the wedding as we both sought God and met when God intended us to.

Chair Covers were borrowed from D’ Coal Pot, and a few were also rented from Bella Blooms, along with the Bride and Groom Chairs.

Cake

Cara Christopher has a baking company called Love & Sugar, so I contacted her, did a tasting, and decided on the Flavour Birthday Cake surprise. Again, inspiration for the cake design was taken from Pinterest and sent to her, and she delivered.

Cake Topper & Monogram

Red Mangrove did “The Henry’s” Cake topper and “H” monogram.

Hair

Iconic Hair by Jay!!! Jeliffa stopped by the night before the wedding, glued the wig on, styled it, and then returned at 6 am to ensure the hair was laid! She even stayed to help me with my dress! She’s such a gift.

Accessories

The hairpiece and earrings came from A Girl 1 of 1, who was so professional. There were two consultations with the stylist Riiah Durante weeks before the wedding to confirm the accessories that would be best for my hairstyle.

Wedding Party Wardrobe

The wedding party consisted of me, my husband, my nephew, and my nieces. My niece’s parents purchased their dresses and headpieces from Amazon, and my nephew’s suit was purchased locally.

Someone gifted me my wedding dress, but it had to be dry-cleaned. Also, a few repairs were done by a local tailorβ€”shoes from Amazon. My Husband’s suit and shoes were purchased from Goodfellas, Main Street.

Body

The Lord and Saviour sent me on a 21-day prayer and fasting in December 2022 and January 2023, which is 42 days. Before then, entering the dress was a little challenging, but it easily slipped on after the fast.

Photographer and Videographer

C M Photography and Shaheim Media came through with the images/video and directed them to perfection.

Miscellaneous items, such as the Guestbook, Best Wishes, Cake Knives, and the Bride and Groom glasses, were purchased from Infinity BVI.

That’s about it; thank you to everyone who came and supported us. If I missed anything and you’d like to know, message me, and I’ll update you.

OH, one more thing!

Here’s our wedding video.
