Wait on the Lord

I’ve been really trying to get back into my position with God. Back to the days when a certain time came, it was just me and him.

This past weekend, the Holy Spirit directed me listen to “Wait on You” by Elevation Worship and Maverick City.

Although this song had been released a few weeks ago, I never listened to it until the Holy Spirit directed me too.

While I listened to the song I basically meditated on the words, thereafter I asked the Holy Spirit what should I study tonight and he said,

β€œSTRENGTH”

As I mentioned in this blog, I study by searching the concordance for the word, then I read every verse and chapter associated with the word in the Concordance to fully understand it. The verse(s) that I feel most connected to were the verse I’d focus on.

NIV Concordance

Within the Concordance, 2 Samuel 22:33 tugged at my heart, but when I got to Isaiah 40:31, the tug was even stronger. I continued to read the rest of the verses and chapters from the concordance, but none touched me like Isaiah 40:31.

β€œbut they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Isaiah 40:31 KJV

I meditated on the verse, made my notes, then the holy spirit told me to listen to the song again which I did. That’s when I connected the song and the verse 🀭 😊

I WAS LIKE OH MY GOD! LOL GOD YOU ARE SO GOOD!

I AM still learning the Bible, so I was shocked and immediately I thought God you are Intentional.

After listening to the song, I figured I’ll watch a Christian Movie and guess what? The opening monologue of that movie was ISAIAH 40:31. At this point, I was like,

“Okay, God I hear you.”

This week God is telling me to wait on him and he will renew my strength. Without him, I will continue to be weary but with him, everything will go smoothly I will be able to complete the necessary tasks without fatigue.

I have been trying to manage everything including ministry, work, home, school and businessES, but it seems like I’m tired all the time which isn’t good if I want to accomplish God’s will for my life.

For me to handle these things, I need God for STRENGTH.

So I’m telling you to Wait on the Lord as he is telling me. Stop being so busy and rely on God for Strength. He is the one blessing you, therefore he will give you the strength to fulfil those tasks.
